Who we are
Kurlective is a trading name of Roarfill Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 15338099), registered office 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. Roarfill Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through kurlective.com. Contact us at customercare@kurlective.com.
What Kurlective does
Kurlective is a product discovery site. We organise products from retailers into categories, stores and shopping moments, and link you to the retailer's own website when you want to buy. We do not sell products, take payments, process orders or arrange delivery. When you buy from a retailer, the retailer handles your order and personal data under its own privacy policy.
Some links on Kurlective are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, we may earn a commission from the retailer or from an affiliate network such as AWIN, CJ, Impact or Amazon Associates. This does not change the price you pay. See our affiliate disclosure.
Information we collect
- Usage information: pages you view, links you click, search terms you enter on the site, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the website or ad that referred you.
- Outbound click information: when you follow a link to a retailer, we record which product and retailer you clicked and when. If you arrived from an ad and have allowed marketing cookies, we also record the ad click identifier (for example a Google or Microsoft click ID) so we can measure which ads lead to purchases.
- Information you give us: your name, email address and message if you contact us, and your email address if you sign up for our newsletter.
We do not collect payment details, delivery addresses or order details, because purchases happen on retailers' websites.
Cookies and similar technologies
- Strictly necessary: cookies set by Shopify, which hosts our site, to run the site securely and remember your cookie choices.
- Analytics (with your consent): Google Analytics 4, which tells us how the site is used in aggregate.
-
Marketing and attribution (with your consent): our own
k_clkcookie stores an ad click identifier for up to 90 days so that a later click through to a retailer can be attributed to the ad you came from. It is deleted if you withdraw marketing consent. - Affiliate network and retailer cookies: when you follow an affiliate link, the network (such as AWIN, CJ, Impact or Amazon) and the retailer may set their own cookies on their own websites to record that you came from Kurlective, so that a commission can be attributed. Those cookies are controlled by them under their own privacy and cookie policies.
You can change your choices at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not stop you using Kurlective.
How we use your information
- To run, secure and improve the site (legitimate interests).
- To understand how the site is used (consent, for analytics cookies).
- To measure which links and ads lead to retailer visits and purchases, and to receive commissions (consent for marketing cookies; legitimate interests for aggregated reporting).
- To reply to your messages (legitimate interests) and send our newsletter if you asked for it (consent; you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.
Who we share information with
- Service providers who host and run the site and our services for us, such as Shopify (hosting), Google (analytics and advertising measurement) and our cloud hosting providers.
- Affiliate networks and retailers: when you click through, they receive the visit together with a click reference from us. We do not pass them your name or email address.
- Authorities or advisers where the law requires it, and a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganised.
We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep outbound click records and analytics data only for as long as we need them to report on how the site is used and to reconcile commissions with retailers and networks, then delete or anonymise them. Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and newsletter details until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for access to your data, and for it to be corrected, deleted, restricted or transferred. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time. Email customercare@kurlective.com to make a request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
Kurlective is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top.
